Inclement Weather Policies
School closings due to inclement weather will be announced on local radio and television stations. Parents are requested not to call the school to inquire about closing since phone lines are needed for essential communication.
Delayed Openings
Delayed openings are due to bad weather such as snow and ice. Local radio and television stations will provide information about City of Salem Schools. This information is broadcast in early morning, but please continue to listen in case there is a change.
Information Line
The School Board has a special line that features voice mail about school closings. The service is available before or after regular School Board hours. It can be reached by dialing 389-0130.
