Meet Mrs. Beamer

Howdy!!  My name is Mrs. Dianna Beamer.  I teach 2nd grade at West Salem Elementary School.  I have been teaching for 30 years.  In those 30 years, I have taught primary and junior high school Special Ed., transitional first grade, first, second and third grade. 

I grew up in Salem.  I went to Academy Street, Broad Street, Salem Intermediate and Andrew Lewis High School.   I received a B.S. in ECE/Special Ed. from Radford University and a M.A. from Virginia Tech in Curriculum and Instruction (emphasis in Reading).  I am a BIG Hokie Fan!!

My husband, Mike, is a Tech Ed. teacher at Glenvar High School (his alma mater).  I have two grown sons, a black cat with many names and a shih tzu puppy named Gizzy..
