Meet Mrs. Fisher

I'm Salem born and Salem bred

        Hello!  My name is Judy Owen Fisher.   I am a Salem girl.  I went to West Salem Elementary, Hidden Valley Intermediate, Glenvar High School and then Salem High School.  I was in the 2nd graduating class of Salem High School - 1979. 

    I have a wonderful family.  I married my high school sweetheart, Jim Fisher.  We have three boys:  Chris, Will, and Chad.  All of my boys are very active in sports and I enjoy being a "Sports Mom".

    I have been teaching since 1983.  I began my teaching career in King George County, VA in 3rd grade.  I then taught 2nd grade in Craig County.  Then I went to East Salem to teach part-time in 5th grade.  I came to South Salem in 1986.  I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades.  My favorite part of the teaching day is when I get to read to my students.
