Class Rules/Behavior Plan

There are five basic rules in my class that the children are expected to follow.
    1. Please listen
    2. No hurting.
    3. Take turns.
    4. Always do and try your very best.
    5. Character counts!

The class rules are reinforced by using a classroom behavior plan.  Incentives are awarded for "sticking to the rules", such as a trip to the prize box, a sticker or treat, extra free time, etc...  If a child is having trouble "sticking to the rules", I use the following procedures: first warnings are administered, followed by a time out if the behavior continues, and finally you will receive either a note or phone call home if the behavior still continues to be a problem.  I try to give the children every opportunity to correct their behavior before giving a time out or note/phone call home, but sometimes they are necessary.  It is important that we work together as a team!  Please contact me with any questions.
