Students must have taken Ceramics 1.  In this next level of ceramics students are able to refine their wheel techniques that were just newly learned.  This is the class where students really find their skills and get more practice on the wheel.  The handbuilding also develops further to be able to create projects above the beginner level.  Most  advanced techniques are taught in this course.  Students move at a more rapid pace, having learned the basics already.  A powerpoint is also required that will link to their ceramics 1 powerpoint.  This will show a progression of the skills they have developed.  This is an exciting class, where students experience a great deal of success having strengthened their skills.  Advanced projects such as pitchers, teapots, lidded projects, matching projects and sets are created, decorated at a higher level of adding handbuilt additions and glazing techniques.
