Report Cards
Report cards and/or performance checklists are sent to parents periodically to keep you informed about your child’s progress in school. Kindergarten students have nine-week grading periods; students in grades 1-5 are graded in six-week periods. These are sent as follows:
First Grade
The first report card is non-graded for academic subjects but does include markings for conduct/work habits. Grades will be E, S, N (Excellent, Satisfactory, Needs Improvement) for all subjects. Report cards are sent home each six weeks.
Second Grade
Report cards are sent home at the end of each six weeks. Grades are E, S, N (Excellent Satisfactory, Needs Improvement) for all academic subjects, including handwriting. Report cards are sent home after each six weeks.
Third-Fifth Grades
Students receive A, B, C, D, and F’s for all academic subjects. Handwriting grades will be E, S, and N.
In 2009-2010, report cards for students will be sent home to parents using the following schedule:
| Grades 1 - 5 (every six weeks) | Kindergarten (every nine weeks) |
| October 28 | November 6 |
| December 10 | January 29 |
| February 3 | April 14 |
| March 18 | June 23 |
| May 7 | |
| June 23 |
If a student has not been present enough to justify a grade, an incomplete grade will be given until sufficient work is completed.
Also review “Work Habits” and “Behavior and Conduct” sections of the report card. These markings and the academic grades reflect a total picture of student progress in school.
