Wellness Policy

On June 6, 2006, the Salem School Board adopted a local Wellness Policy to promote healthy eating and physical activity for students. The Policy addresses good nutritional choices in the cafeteria as well as the classroom. The Policy also encourages parents to select healthy choices for classroom parties and snacks. Students will be encouraged to be physically active in school and at home, and various educational opportunities will be provided to address these issues.
